クラスに、太ってはいるけど、人気者の女の子がいた。
おおらかで、頭が良くて、女とは思えないほど器も大きい女子だった。
「私はデブって言われてもまったく平気」とにこにこしている仏のような奴だった。
彼女をブタとかデブとか冗談で呼ぶ男子はいても、悪く言う男子はほぼいなかったと思う。
あだ名はブッダ（悟りを開いたブタということで）。

クラスには彼女とは別の、Aという苗字のデブ女子がいて、この子はちょっとわがまま。
あるとき、男子が黒板に落書き、Aが太ってるということを絵で描いた。
Aは両手で顔をおおいながら、ひどいだそんな太ってないだ泣きわめいた。
女子を泣かせたというだけでも周囲から責められる男子。
だが、居合わせたブッダが、Aに喝。
「デブって言われるのが嫌なら痩せりゃいいだけやろ！
食い意地はりながらブヒブヒ泣き言いうな！
ヤクザがヤクザって言わないでーって泣いたらおかしいやろ、笑えるやろ、
それと同じや、事実は事実なんやから自分で何とかするしかないんや、
事実を言う人は悪人、なんてのはおかしいやろ！」
さっぱりした。見事に言ってくれた。後でさすがはブッダだよなと言う者もいた。
この場をかりて彼女に拍手を送りたい。
